The man kneels down with his hips slightly off the floor. Distancing his upper body from the woman's, he bends over, supports himself with his hands on the floor and delivers horizontal thrusts. Also known as "Hikigaeru" (Toad).
Origin of the name
A mysterious name with no settled explanation — one theory likens the distinctive sideways motion to the turning wheels of a cart loaded with riches. Its alias "crouching toad" is more literal: the man's posture, kneeling with hips raised and body hunched, does look rather like one.
Tips
The whole point is thrusting sideways, not downward. The man keeps his upper body lifted away from her and angles his motion laterally — reaching places the standard missionary never touches. Keep the strokes shallow and grinding rather than deep. An easy twist for a night when plain missionary needs a variation.
